I love, love, love the smell of roses! I always have a bottle of rosewater spray handy- it’s one of my favorite instant mood elevators.

I started using Rosewater initially when I would do any kind of space clearing techniques. It started because my husband hates the smell of burning sage so much, I would follow it with misting the area with Rosewater. Rosewater has the quality to shift the energies of a space in to a gentle vibration of peace and calming and let’s face it, it smells divine as well!

My Ayurvedic practitioner  pal , Denise had suggested to me a few summers ago, to mist it on my skin to instantly cool the skin. Eureka!

It opened the doors to a whole new world of uses for skin care. I did some researching and found that rosewater has all kinds of fantastic properties. It can be used to –

*Maintain skin ph
*cool the skin , especially after sun exposure, or during hot flashes
*remove make up – mix with some coconut oil or glycerin
*calm scalp inflammation or dandruff
*moisturize dry hair
*set make up , leaving you with a dewy look (one of my faves!)
*refresh make up later in the day (another favorite!)
*hydrate and nourish the skin
*sooth acne, dermatitis and eczema
*act as a toner – it is a mild astringent
*soothe under eye bags and dark circles- soak cotton pads and place under eyes for 5 minutes
*scent your sheets and pillow before bed

This multitasking little gem is also easy to find and very affordable. You just want to read your ingredients like with anything and be sure you are purchasing a product that doesn’t have a lot of junk in it or artificial fragrance.

We like Heritage Store brand and carry it at the studio.

It’s the perfect thing to keep at your desk, in your handbag or in your car for when you need a little lift, hydration, feel a little tired or to cool off.

Enjoy!
