So, this post is NOT about fencing, It IS a post about a cool essential oil blend that is great for this time of year.
I am a huge fan of an essential oil company called DoTERRA.
There are a lot of different companies out there and I buy certain things from different ones, but the bulk of what I buy for my personal use is from DoTERRA.
I like the purity of the product, I like that the oils come from sources where the plants grow at their prime, I like the support and education available from the company and I LOVE a product called On Guard.
There is a rival company who has a similar oil called Thieves. I’m not going to get in to splitting hairs and trash talking about whose is better and all of that drama. The back story about the blend of oils to make Thieves or OnGuard is based on a story from around the 15th century where a group of thieves rubbed oils on themselves to avoid contracting the plague while they robbed the bodies of the dead and dying. When apprehended they disclosed the formula of herbs, spices and oils they used to protect themselves.
The blend has been tested at Weber State University for its potent antimicrobial properties. It was found to have a 99.96% kill rate against airborne bacteria.
I swear by this magic blend of oils containing a blend of Wild Orange, Clove, Cinnamon, Eucalyptus, and Rosemary essential oils. It is a non-toxic and super duper way to support the immune system.
I use it every day especially at times of year when there are colds and flus amongst us. I put a drop of On Guard on the bottom of each foot every morning right before I put my socks on. I may add another during the day if a client comes in with symptoms of a cold or virus. I also use it in a diffuser to attack anything airborn.
Two years ago, my husband came down with “the flu” that was going around – you remember the one that knocked you down for 2 weeks and ended with Pink Eye? I bumped up all of my immune boosting tricks, was diligent about my On Guard application, diffused it at night while I slept and I managed to escape getting sick.
On Guard – don’t leave home without it…
