Holy Basil Batman!

One of my favorite simple pleasures in life is a cup of tea. Maybe it’s part of my English heritage, but I literally crave my afternoon cup of tea. I gave up caffeine years ago, so I know it’s not a caffeine crash. I love the whole ritual, smell, taste and probably the little time out in my day.

One of my go to’s is Tulsi tea. Tulsi is also known as Holy Basil. Just for the record, if you’ve never had it, its tastes nothing like basil. It is however, very tasty and has a boat load of great health benefits.

This health-promoting herb is known as “The Queen of Herbs” through out India. It is revered as a sacred plant infused with healing properties and has been noted in Indian scriptures for over 5,000 years.

Some of the health benefits of Tulsi are –

*Reduces stress

*Supports the immune system

*Rich in antioxidants

*Builds stamina

*Aids digestion

*Anti-aging

*Balances metabolism

*Balances energy levels

*Uplifts mood

Tulsi tea is often paired with other herbs to promote additional health benefits, like restful sleep or detoxifying blends. One of my personal favorites is Tulsi Sweet Rose. We’ve already established my obsession with anything rose. So, two of my favorite things together – winner!!

We feature Organic India Tulsi Rose Tea at our studio and besides it being one of my favorite teas to sip in the afternoon – I love the box – it describes the tea as “Stress-Relieving and Magical”.

Who could resist a magical tea? Not me!
